• A:Answer If the activation code/codes are purchased online or in person at any official retail store where the Eset sells their products, and your current license is far from expiring, ESET does not allow subscription extension program if you purchase a license key months/weeks before your current one expires. I made this mistake several times when I found and purchased a discounted/on sale activation keys ESET sells . ESET HOME account is mandatory for all subscriptions purchased. Once you enter your purchased product key, even if you do not use it on any of your devices, time start ticking . On contrary, Eset's website states that you may renew any time after your purchase and up to 365 days after your subscription expires. If you decide to renew before your expiration date, " Your new expiration will not take effect until your original expiration date passes". This is simply not true, I lost months on yearly new product keys by just registering it for "future use, thinking it will get into effect when the active license expires. Customer support will not change anything. Save yourself some money, after your purchase, just wait close to the expiration date. Then register it on ESET HOME account manually to continue protecting your devices.
