The homebase creates its own wifi network that the 2C Pro cameras connect to. If the base and cameras both stay powered, communication will continue between the two and footage will be recorded and retained. If your home internet/wifi is not powered, the recordings will not be viewable until your service is restored, but they are in fact viewable when power is restored.
