that all depends on your settings and the frequency of triggers. 4gb is a decent amount for recording events. i've had mine up for about two weeks and it doesn't see many events throughout the course of a day and it hasn't exceeded 1gb yet. you can go back and retrieve recorded events at any time as long as the local storage isn't full as then it will start to overwrite older recordings in place of new ones.
