- Answer No. eufySecurity devices only support 2.4GHz Wi-Fi.

QuestionI am thinking of replacing the traditional doorbell with this, can I connect it the exiting bell or it connects to wireless speaker only?

- Answer You can connect it to the existing bell. It’s just two wires. It requires that the existing wires provide 16-24 volts. If not, you need to use the jumper cables that come in the box, use them on the bell wiring in your home electrical box. If you have an Eufy HomeBase it will also play doorbell sound on there. You can of course turn it off. If all fails, Eufy sells a dedicated wireless doorbell speaker for it.

- Answer It will record and keep the videos. I believe that the HomeBase has 16gb and then records over the old videos. 16gb could be about 3 months. You have the option of saving clips to your phone. I hope this helps!

- Answer Yes more then 1 can be linked to it. I dont know the max number though. We have 3 phones linked to ours.

QuestionHow is the video doorbell protected from someone just demounting it and walking off with it? The specs and product literature are silent on this question.

- Answer It comes with a key to remove it from the mounting bracket. I suppose theoretically someone could pry it off, but it doesn’t dismount easily. Check out the installation manual online for more info.

- Answer The waterproof standard is IP65 and the doorbell is not for outdoor use. We suggest you use some cover to shield the surface of the doorbell if there is a lot of rain.

- Answer Yes you seem to be able to wire it. There are wiring lugs and the manual shows how. I wasn’t replacing a wired bell so I didn’t do it that way. The video is by default stored locally, but you can integrate it Apple HomeKit and it to iCloud too. I suspect there are other options but haven’t investigated further, local was what I wanted mostly.

QuestionHow often does the battery need to be charged on an average traffic?

- Answer The box mentions about 6 months but I’m calculating that I might have to charge my 2k add on doorbell in about 3 months. I’m going by the percentage of the battery. I hope this helps!

- Answer The home base looks like a Wi-Fi router but it’s by Eufy. I haven’t seen them sold by themselves, usually they come together with a product. The eufy doorbell has 2 options, one with the home base and one without the home base. If you don’t have a home base you get the doorbell that comes with the home base and if you have a home base from a different product you get the doorbell without the home base. I hope this help!
