would this card fit in a hp slimline 260 pc null

I have used this card in mid size cases only. It is a very long card. Try making a cardboard mock up to see if it will fit without reaching the front of your case. I have used the PNY 610, 710, and 730 cards in slimline cases, they are shorter cards, if that helps.

It looks promising. There are too many version of the 260 to say for sure without opening the case up. While this card fits into one PCI-e slot, the heatsink does hang over into the next slot. I'd suggest you open the case and measure the distance between the the pci-e slot and the power supply or other wire connections on the motherboard, then confirm that the distance is greater than the dimensions on the EVGA site for the card.
