It would depend on if the programs you are using are GPU based. 1st find out if they use GPU or CPU. If they are GPU based program then yes, it could make the performance improve but... in order to figure that out, compare the performance specs of the card you currently have to this card. If this new card has much better performance specs that may be the indicator that performance could improve. Also it could be fixed by Overclocking the CPU as well. A lot of software only uses 1 core and this could help performance speeds. Consult with a professional if you are not knowledgeable with overclocking.

Please try again later.With an Octocore, 16 GBs of RAM and an SSD for the program load, it is probably being slowed down by the GPU unless another program is eating up you CPU or Memory. You should check your CPU & Memory usage while using photoshop through the task manager under the performance tab as well as find out your GPU usage. If your GPU is tapped out, that could be it. Depending on how much VRAM your Sapphire has, that could be your bottleneck.
