This card will definitely run Battlefield 1! However, the "kernel mode" error you are speaking of is not related. This is also known as a "TDR" error, and has been around for some time (it also happens with other games, including Battlefield 3). Here is a link to an old thread that will fix the problem, although fair warning, it requires some technical expertise, and if you are AT ALL unsure about what you are doing, seek help before using it.

Yes it runs bf1 flawlessly so far. I have not had any kernel mode errors with this card or the gtx 770 it replaced so not sure about that. Just make sure you have the latest drivers.
