Great news, FitbitGirl19, Fitbit came out with the Alta HR! Now you have the same Alta you know and love, but with the added benefit of a heart rate monitor! It is the exact same size and looks the same, the only difference is that the band now has a buckle for added versatility!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Research has demonstrated that some people are sensitive to the pulsation of the heart rate sensor. This is no different than various medical procedures using light or laser therapies. Some of the side effects range from aching of the hand and/or fingers, muscle soreness and all the way to temporary paralysis of fingers or the hand. I tried two different fitbits and even an Apple watch, all with HR capability. The result was the same with all three so I researched it and found it to be a fairly common complaint. Thanks to fitbit for their concern and sensitivity to their customers.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The Fitbit Alta is a cheaper alternative, so it makes sense that it would have fewer features.
