• Yes, the Fitbit Alta HR has a time display that is easy to access (by swiveling arm as if to check a watch, the display lights up with the current time).

• Yes, you can oriented vertically or horizontally with formats with or without date. My default is to display the date when I turn my wrist. I like the horizontal display so I can see the time w/o glasses on.
