Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. It uses phone GPS, allowing for 5 day battery
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes and no. The blaze will calculate distance based on steps and stride length if you are not connected to the phone's GPS. If you want GPS calculated distance, you have to have the phone with you and the blaze connected to the phone. I use the exercise 'run' function on the blaze to connect to the phone GPS when I run to track my running distance. Throughout the rest of the day it is just calculating approximate distance based on my stride length and steps. I was told by fitbit that the more you use the tracker and connected GPS the better it calculates stride length and better it approximates.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, the Blaze uses 'connected GPS' meaning it relies on a bluetooth connection to your phone to utilize the GPS data.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes - no GPS on this watch.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, to take advantage of the GPS aspects, your phone has to be along for the walk/run/jog for best accuracy.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No. You can leave it all behind. It was unnerving the first time I went for a run without my iphone or a separate watch as a timer. Now I am loving the lack of gear! The Blaze will record time at the different levels of exertion automatically, graph it and show the total calories burned. To have your run distance included in your exercise record I'm pretty sure you can just use the "exercise" app built into the device. I just check the distance i have covered before and after my run which doesn't require any other components of the Blaze.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. But the watch counts steps and gives a guestimate based on your input stride.
