when biking does it track mileage, location? calories burned? I currently use a phone app, sports tracker, and was wondering if this would have the same functionality.

If you use Connected GPS (meaning connect to your phone's GPS and bring said phone with you), then it will track your route. It already tracks calories burned and mileage, though the mileage is more accurate if you use Connected GPS.

Yes, The fitbit will pick up any exercise is don't for 15 min straight(running, walking, biking) and you can also track it if you swipe to exercise on your fitbit and select bike.
