• Only if the iPad Air 2 has Bluetooth capability, so that the Fitbit app can pair with the Charge.

• It certainly should! My husband doesn't have a smart phone so I put his on my MacBook Air. I think they are made primarily to work with Mac products but work with most anything.

• Yes, this is compatible with the iPad Air 2 (see https://www.fitbit.com/devices). You may have to install the iPhone version of the app.

• Charge uses blue tooth to communicate with the app on the apple ipad, the app syncs the data with the fitbit server (via wifi). So should work fine.
