Does this watch detect a fib heart irregularity? null

It seems to. The first time I tried it, I did not remove the silicone cover and it reported a fib heart irregularity. The second time I tried it, I removed the silicone cover, so I was touching the metal sides, and it showed a very good heartbeat.
