Yes this would work great! I only bought this 2 in 1 for that reason basically. I just surf the internet and type out documents on this and have a custom pc for anything else I would want to do.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.This will work great for that, although it does not come with Office, you will have to use Office online which is free. Double check with your school as most student get Office 365 for free through their school.

After purchase please check if the keyboard is detected and make sure to check after few reboots and at different charge level. This PC is excellent, but mine didn't work well with keyboard. I am going to return. Don't know if this is a defect with this unit only. Hope works well with others!
