“Can this be charged via the microUSB port? I realize it has it's own proprietary charger but I was wondering if it could also be charged using my phone charger if in a pinch.”

• You have to use the charger that comes with it. It is different than usb chargers.

• Sorry, but NO. The Asus Flip has a strange little rectangular connector for the power port and it is 12 volts. I believe most phone chargers are 5 volts.

• No, it will not charge with a micro USB the charger that comes with the Asus Chromebook is slightly longer than a micro USB charger it will not work do not damage your chromebooks port by forcing the charger, it will not work.
