- Answer Hey, Sharon! The model you selected requires a minimum clearance of 30" from the bottom edge of the cabinet from the cooking surface. ~Courtney

QuestionI have exactly 24" between my cabinets, and if I were to install this model, the cabinet on the left side would stick out further than the microwave (including the microwave door). Does this model need additional space over 24" to open the door properly?
