A:Answer Yes this is a convection oven and microwave. It runs either convection alone, microwave alone, or a combination of the two. I've found this to be exceptionally superior with child snacks, in particular my kids like chicken nuggets, pizza, hamburgers, and hotdogs. The chicken nuggets are crispy, pizza browned and bubbling cheese, hamburgers and hotdogs microwaved in bun WITHOUT hardening the bun or making it mushy (although it does brown and toast the buns a little), and things like mac & cheese end up with a nice light brown crust if wanted.
