Generally OTR microwaves are intended to vent outside, but some can be installed as ventless. Try going to the manufacturer's website and searching the model number for an installation guide (usually in a tab such as "Support"). You can view and download various documents. They are usually in Adobe Acrobat format (PDF), and require the Adobe reader (free download).
