I didn’t, but what I did do was use “Easy Off” original formula to clean the bottom of all my pots and pans before I used the stove. I’m very mindful not to slide my pots when I’m cooking, just lift them up if I need to reposition them .

However, cookware material determines how evenly and quickly heat is transferred from the surface element to the pan bottom. Aging or uneven cookware should be replaced for optimal results. Additional details about the recommended cookware is available on page 11 of the owner's manual. Before the first use, apply a ceramic cooktop cleaning cream (available in most hardware, grocery and department stores) to the ceramic surface. Clean and buff with a clean paper towel. This will make cleaning easier when soiled from cooking. Cooktop cleaning creams leave a p protective finish on the glass to help prevent scratches and abrasions. Best Wishes, Anna
