A:AnswerJuJudy - Sorry this is not a answer just the same problem. We purchased this ice maker July 2020, loved it, but ran into the same issue as you and your Mom, it stopped making ice February 2021. Called the hotline and they were great, sent them pictures, videos, cut the cord, removed labels and they sent us another machine March 2021. Worked great, but now have the same problem, stopped making ice August 2021. We love the ice maker but what good is it, if it doesn't last.
A:AnswerI transfer the ice to a zip top bag and put it in the freezer. After it has been in the freezer for a little bit, I knock the bag on the counter to break it up and then I put it in my ice container in the freezer to use. Works great. If I'm trying to store ice for later, I store it in the zip top bag and hit it on the counter and leave it in the freezer.
A:AnswerSince you just pour liquid into the unit I would say any liquid would be fine. Personally, I would run a batch of regular cubes with just water afterward to flush out anything like sugars that might gum up the cube delivery mechanism.

A:AnswerYes you can . When the basket is full, it will go on standby until some ice is used or it melts enought to activate a cycle. All melted ice recycles back through so there is no mess.
A:AnswerIt is not possible to determine the annual energy consumption of ice makers as the energy consumed is affected by water temperature, ambient temperature, number of hours per day of use etc.
A:AnswerHi, JAK! The ice maker has a drain plug to drain out excess water. I have included the link to the manual if you should have any additional questions. https://files.bbystatic.com/B%2BJtsXtBXnAgLmgdtB2ySw%3D%3D/FB21E921-CFD9-4638-88C5-5640FE807F12.pdf

A:AnswerNo, it's much like a Mr. Coffee type maker - you fill the ice maker to the water line and empty the internal basket when it fills - a few times each load - and then bag and store the ice in your freezer.
