“Will this unit cool an oddly shaped apartment? My apartment has a living room which goes into a dining room with a kitchen to the side of the dining room. The entire space is approx. 35 ft X 15 ft. There are no doors or separation between the 3 spaces. The only window is in the kitchen and does not face towards the bulk of the space (dining area and living room). Will this unit be able to cool off the entire area?”

Yes this will do the job. I use it for the entire downstairs of my farmhouse. It is in the window in the living room with a kitchen and dining room on the same floor and it's very comfortable. I also have a ceiling fan in the kitchen.

For this same reason, you may want to consider a 15,100btu unit such as model number FRA156MT1. Utilizing a portable fan to circulate cooled air from the kitchen into the larger area of the apartment may help with the cooling of the room. Thank you for your question.
