Hi Vic. You should be just fine. Temperatures of 32°F (0°C) and below will NOT affect operation of the freezer. Additional compressor heaters are not recommended. We just advise that you adhere to the Location recommendation within the owner's manual on page 4, to allow for adequate spacing around the freezer for circulation. Thank you for the inquiry. ~ Anna
