- Answer Putting a refrigerator or freezer on carpet is not recommended, as the fibers may hold excess heat and restrict some airflow. If the carpet fibers are short enough it may do better, but hard floor is best. ~Ashton

- Answer Hello Tcoop. For the most efficient operation, the appliance should be located where surrounding temperatures will not exceed 110°F (43°C). Temperatures of 32°F (0°C) and below will NOT affect operation. Additional compressor heaters are not recommended. This particular model freezer is produced in China. ~ Anna
