• Absolutely. I checked on the same issue as I wanted one for my garage, and learned that wintertime for freezers is the perfect time. Obviously, you will want it in the garage away from the outside elements. It's the summers (heat) that cause problems for freezers -- as they have to work harder to maintain the inside temp.
