Hi, jml! For the most efficient operation, the appliance should be located where surrounding temperatures will not exceed 110°F (43°C). Temperatures of 32°F (0°C) and below will NOT affect operation. Unfortunately, the door is not reversible. ~ Brandi

Yes the Freezer works in a unheated garage and unfortunately the door can not be reversed. It has a locking mechanism that will not allow you to do so. Freezer works great and I was particularly surprised on how bright it is when you open the door.

Yes the upright freezer will work in an unheated garage. Yes the door can be switched to open different directions.

It should, as long as it doesn’t get TOO cold in the garage. Yes, you can switch the door swing.
