  • QuestionDoes it easily slide out away from the wall and back into place to clean behind or check the plug in the event of a power outage?

    Asked by Miles.

    • Answer Thank you for the answer but the outlet is located behind the refrigerator so if I need to unplug it I have to pull it away from the wall. Also with having dogs there is a lot of dog hair that can get trapped behind the refrigerator so I need to be able to routinely pull it out to do so. My current one slides in and out pretty easily.

  • Questionwhere is the ice maker switch to check if it is on.

    Asked by John.

    • Answer Hi there, John! Based on the Frigidaire Use & Care manual for models with an ice maker and internal water dispenser (like your 20.3 cu ft bottom freezer standard‑depth refrigerator with internal water dispenser), here is how to find the ice maker switch and check if it’s ON: - The ice maker On/Off switch is located inside the freezer compartment on the ice maker unit itself (typically on or near the top/right of the ice maker assembly). - Open the freezer drawer and look at the ice maker unit in the upper area — you should see a small slide switch labeled On (I) / Off (O). - Move the switch to the “I” (On) position to turn the ice maker on. - Move it to “O” (Off) to turn the ice maker off. Quick Tip If your ice maker isn’t making ice and you’re checking the switch: - Open the freezer drawer fully. - Locate the ice maker unit on the top or upper side. - Find the small slide or rocker switch, confirm it’s set to On (I). - Maico

  • Questionwhat side of the fridge is the door hinge packaged on?

    Asked by midlstr.

    • Answer Hi there, Midlstr! Good question. I checked the available documentation for Frigidaire, specifically for the 20.3 cu. ft. bottom‑freezer refrigerator model Frigidaire GRBN2012AF (the “20.3 Cu. Ft. Bottom Freezer Standard Depth Refrigerator with Internal Water Dispenser”). The spec sheet for GRBN2012AF lists the “Hinge Side” as Right (i.e., the door is initially hinged on the right side). The unit has a reversible hinge, meaning you can switch the door to hinge on the left side if desired. According to the door‑reversal instructions in the general Frigidaire Use & Care Manual, when shipped or in default configuration, the upper hinge is installed on the top right side of the cabinet; the top left side is covered by a screw‑hole cover. Bottom line: For the Frigidaire GRBN2012AF (20.3 cu. ft. bottom‑freezer model), the refrigerator door hinge is packaged on the right side by default, but the hinge is reversible, so you have the option to move it to the left if you prefer. - Maico

  • QuestionIs the 68.7” measurement taken from the floor to the top of hinge? The measurement to the top of refrigerator is listed lower than this so I’m trying to determine if it would fit in my space of 68”.

    Asked by Chance.

    • Answer The 68.7-inch measurement for the Frigidaire 20.3 Cu. Ft. Bottom Freezer Standard Depth Refrigerator with Internal Water Dispenser is typically taken from the floor to the top of the refrigerator, not just to the top of the hinge. The hinge is usually slightly below the top of the unit, which explains the difference in measurements. If your space is 68 inches, the refrigerator would likely be too tall to fit. I recommend measuring the available height in your space and considering the total height of the refrigerator, including any space needed for proper ventilation above the unit. - Jessica

  • QuestionWhat Frigidaire model is garage rated and will turn back in automatically after a power outage is restored.

    Asked by David.

    • Answer David, good questions. Here’s what I found about your fridge, Frigidaire 20.3 Cu. Ft. Bottom Freezer Refrigerator (GRBN2012AF) and whether it meets your “garage‑rated & auto‑restart after outage” criteria. What this model is and what it isn’t - The model number is GRBN2012AF. - According to its official spec sheets and retailer listings, this model is not labeled “Garage Ready.” - In fact, customer Q&A for this model explicitly states that it is not suitable for unheated or extreme‑temperature environments (i.e., typical “garage” conditions). This model is not garage‑rated or recommended if you need a “garage fridge”. Given that GRBN2012AF is explicitly listed as not garage‑ready, and there is no guarantee of automatic restart functionality, it does not meet the criteria for a reliable “garage-rated, auto-restarting fridge.” - Maico

  • QuestionCan this refrigerator have its door removed and reinstalled easily so that it can fit through a kitchen doorway that is 28.75 inches wide?

    Asked by Steve.

    • Answer Hi Steve! Yes, the Frigidaire 20.3 Cu. Ft. Bottom Freezer Standard Depth Refrigerator with Internal Water Dispenser (model GRBN2012AF) can have its doors removed to help it fit through a narrow doorway. The user manual explicitly includes a section titled “Door Removal – Getting Through Narrow Spaces” that outlines the procedure. The cabinet width (~29.8″) is greater than your doorway width (28.75″); removing the doors alone will not be enough to fit the fridge through that opening. You would need either a wider doorway or perhaps remove or widen the doorway opening further. - Maico
