  • QuestionHow do you know when the ICE maker is on? I see a switch but its a line and and circle. How am I supposed to interpret if the ice machine is on? A pressed line is what?

    • Answer Hi there, Rob! On most Frigidaire refrigerators, including your 28.8 Cu. Ft. French Door model, the ice maker switch uses universal power symbols: "|” (vertical line) = ON "O” (circle) = OFF So, if the switch is pressed down on the side with the line ("|"), your ice maker is ON. If it's pressed down on the side with the circle ("O"), then your ice maker is OFF. - Maico

    • Answer Hi Nita! The Frigidaire FRFN2813AF features a standard freezer-mounted automatic ice maker that produces crescent (square-ish) ice cubes. Based on typical operation patterns for this type of unit: So at any given moment, the ice maker usually dumps 6–10 cubes into the bin. It will continue these cycles until the bin is full and the shut-off arm is raised. If your freezer is set at the recommended 0°F (−18°C) and you've allowed for 24–48 hours of stabilization after setup, this is the expected performance. Production may slow if: The freezer temperature is higher than 0°F The ice-maker thermostat warms slowly Water pressure/flow is reduced, or filtered water is too warm - Maico

If your Frigidaire FRFN2813AF fridge’s water is only room temperature after 3 days, that’s not normal behavior—let’s troubleshoot and fix it: Frigidaire support notes that a new installation may dispense room-temperature water until the cooling loop is fully primed. But three days is already past normal; cold water should come soon after setup. Replace your water filter (even if new). Thaw any frozen lines—hair dryer on low inside the fresh-food door. Test switches and valve (or ask a technician). If unresolved, contact Frigidaire support or schedule a qualified service. - Maico
