Answer: Yes, Paul, I have experienced the same thing in regards to the insufficient water fill with futile attempts to raise the water line to any appreciable level. It's very frustrating. Perhaps, you may want to try setting your wash on the rinse/spin cycle on the dial, as it seems to fill up much faster with water versus the other wash settings and runs like a normal wash cycle, except you get more water, faster. For a time, I was actually using the rinse/spin cycle like a normal wash cycle. To me, it was more utlitarian than the other prescribed settings on the dial. It also appeared to cycle faster than the other wash settings. It's a big washer drum, but why doesn't it fill up at least 3/4 of the way from the time the wash cycle is activated? The power up cycle is as useless as "Beam me up, Scotty" from Stsr Trek. Very disappointing! Also, I wish the wash cycles would have time indicators, instead of guessing when the wash will fully complete its cycle. The dryer has a timer, why not the washer? I call it The Al Gore model. For a laundry center that purportedly is so environmentally correct, it ultimately uses more water and electricity than any other washer I have ever used in my entire life. Is it An Inconvenient Truth or just an Inconvenient Washer? Just sayin'...
