The interior projection is approximately 8 inches and the exterior projection will vary from 10 to 14 inches, depending on the depth of the window frame.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It is 8” into the room from the windiw. It sticks out a little over 13” from the windiw on the outside. I measured from the window itself. Not the trimmed area of the window, and not the frame work.. The unit looks much nicer than other windiw units. It runs quietly. The most important part for us was the small size for the windows we were having to use. It was an added bonus to find a small unit that looks nice and gave the “Smart” optiion with WiFi. We have the 12,000 btu. The 8,000 is even smaller.
