Is it possible to dim the display? Right now I've taped a piece of clear (dark) red plastic over it so we can sleep at night. It's way too bright!!! (LIGHT POLLUTION!) null

I agree! I am having the same problem except I used duct tape to block the light. It would be wonderful to be able to turn off the display when desired. Solidarity!

I just installed a Frigidaire microwave and agree - the clock light is way too bright!! No dimming option but you can turn off the clock altogether using the power save option. So no clock while the micro is not in use. Much better!

To dim your clock display get a small piece of auto window tint and install it over the display
