I think its normal and just a poor design. Mine has the same issues. There is no internal airflow therefor the temperature cannot be accurately regulated.

For instance, I have the lower zone set at 64F and the closest lower zone shelf temp to that setting is 54.5F (10 degrees off from the setting) and the coldest lower zone is 50.4F (a full 14 degrees off). An accuracy range of 14 degrees does not seem acceptable to me.

You may find some variances on the temperatures based on the airflow to that particular location and the items that are in the wine cooler. Warm items will create a warmer temperature, while colder items that have had a chance to cool will assist with maintaining a consistence temperature. Kindly, Anna
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No it is not defective. The Temperature setting is for the overall room temperature. Depending how items are stacked on the shelf, they may block the cold air breeze from reaching the bottom.
