“The information says you need 15.5" for minimum width. the unit measures 14.2. Would it be useable in a 14.5" width?”

if you want to to use the frame they give you you would need that "extra space" but in a 14.5 window it would just fit .....so to seal the edges i would use aluminum tape to make it air tight..i would go for it.
