QuestionMy windows are all tall sliding type .Can I use this by sliding window to width od air conditioner and using something to block large space above unit. If I can't use this what can I use. Are the portable no venting water coolers any good?

- Answer This unit would definately work for the size of your window, and as far as the btu rating a 5000 btu unit will usually work for bedrooms up to 10x15 or so. Other factors to consider would be if you have multiple large windows or if you have high celings. QuestionSafe to use a 3 prong adaptor?My outlets accept only 2-prong plugs. Is it safe to use an adapter to plug the 3-prong air conditioner plug into the 2-prong outlet? If so, is there any specific adapter better than the others? Could use of such an ungrounded connection cause a fire? Could it damage the air conditioner unit or other equipment into the same circuit? Do I need to have the outlet replaced?

- Answer Hello, The power cord is equipped with a three-prong grounding plug for protection against shock hazards. Your air conditioner must be used in a properly grounded wall receptacle. If the wall receptacle you intend to use is not adequately grounded or protected by a time delay fuse or circuit breaker, have a qualified electrician install the proper receptacle. Please do not use an extension cord or an adapter plug. Thank you.
