“I need a 10,000+ BTU unit. My window opening is only 19" wide. This unit is 19" wide, so it'll be tight. Will that work? Someone answered a question & said 23" window width is needed for this unit.... why would that be?”

The front face is 19" but it has permanently attached accordion sides that only collapse down 2" on each side, making 23" its tightest width.
