• Yes, though it says it's a window unit it still works; you won't have to use the side panel (window units) at all. I replaced a broken unit that was 20 years old. This Frigidaire your looking at is a little smaller about 2" inches shorter on width and 1" shorter on height then the broken unit, but I was able to put it in with a little piece of board for the height. It runs great. Though it looks small it actually cools the air in no time with some of our temps in Texas getting at 92 degrees this month (May.)
