Yeah, mine is installed in a sliding window. It was professionally installed and I had new windows so I didn't want them to screw in my windows, so they used metal brackets (you can go to Home Depot and asked them for this weight of AC what bracket is suitable. You can basically install any window AC in a sliding door window.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.This can be installed in a sliding window, if the one side opening is wide enough to fit the width of the unit. If it is, you have to think about what you put above the unit, because that portion will be opened all the way to the top. I recommend you buy a sheet of 1/4 inch plexiglass, cut it to size and install it above the unit. You need to me a little handy to do that. If you are not, or you don't have anybody doing it for you, don't try. You may hurt yourself or damage the window/ AC too.
