Yes. It will remove up to 86 pints of water per day from the air. BTW, as far as I know, all air conditioners will dehumidify because as air is blown over the cooling coils (the tubes that hold the refrigerant) any moisture in the air will condense on the coils, and then as it accumulates it drips to the bottom of the unit and drains to the outside.

Too small and it can't cool the room and too big it won't run enough to take the humidity out of the air and will still feel hot and sticky even though the temp. is at the temp. setting. That is what the condensate is, it's the humidity that is removed from the room.

Typically, window room air conditioners recycle warm air into cool air. Hope this helps.
