On the front panel (below the controls...off\ on switch etc.) there are indentations on both sides almost at the top, that the word "filter" is stamped. Pull the panel at these indentations, it opens up at the top, doesn't come completely off but gives enough space to then slide the filter out. The directions in the instruction booklet are very clear.

The unit will recognize when the filter is missing and has a ‘filter reset’ button to remind you to replace it. Dust can enter the unit and reduce efficiency if you do not put the filter back in.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Remove the cover in the front of unit. Filter is right there. If needed- cut filter to fit (use original for sizing). So replace filter- then close front cover. Turn unit back on!
