• Hello Cdub! The dehumidifier FFAD7033R1 should not leak unless the bucket is broken or there is a crack within the appliance. If a power outage occurs then the dehumidifier should turn off. • As long as you read the directions and take the blue tape off of the float, the unit will shut off before overflowing.

• We have a story and a half. There does not seem to be an issue. We previously had a 30 pint, 65 pint. When I had to manually dump, there would be icing over.

• No issues with this....it shuts off when the bucket is full, or, you can connect a hose and have the hose empty in to a drain.

• Used it for several days in a row and didn't always get to it before it automatically turned off. And, you could always set the unit in some sort of "container" to calm your nerves, a shallow cardboard box with a plastic garbage bag liner would be enough.
