If you are in the United States you won't need to buy ant adapter otherwise you need to buy the orange adapter in order to convert your 3 pins plug into 2 pins! ;)

I think you mean a 110 volt? Yes, and three prong. My electrician told me that for an AC, you could get away with using a 3 prong adapter in a 2 prong outlet, but it's best to have a true grounded three prong outlet.

Unit requires a 110 volt outlet connection - this is standard for any house.

A regular 15 amp receptacle will work as long as it will hold electrical plug tightly.
