The icemaker appears to be automatic, as I did nothing after the water line was hooked up by the installers; a few hours later I had ice. It’s worked just fine since.

Kindly check if the ice maker is turned on. The refrigerator is not connected to the water line, or the water valve is not open. The water supply line is kinked. The water filter is not seated properly. The water filter may be clogged with foreign material.
