“My present refrigerator did not come with a water filter which I had added: however; it does take up additional depth space on the back of refrigerator. How does it effect this model's counter depth dimension?”

Hey Choosy! The refrigerator FGHC2331PF should come with a water filter located inside of it. Without the water filter you will be unable to produce ice or dispense water out of the dispenser. A filter does not affect the depth of the refrigerator. We hope this information is helpful.
