Why is my ice maker making a clicking noise? null

Did you turn your ice machine off when you dont have a water line hooked up your ice maker is trying to get water to make ice if your ice machine is not turned off to turn it off pull out top tray in freezer and the switch is begind there

Does it make the noise when it is ejecting the ice sometimes they make noise when turning to eject the ice
