Yes and gas should never flow fully unlit to burner until the ignition is activated and sensor determines the is a pilot. Notify your supplier / manufacturer immediately

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I recently purchased a Frigidaire gas range and I am having the same problem. We have had a few instances where we have realized the gas has been left on for quite some time. It is extremely concerning. I may look into child locks for the burner knobs.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. We have a new Fridgidaire Gallery gas stove. This is happening "All The Time"! To us!! I was just searching for recalls, how to fix, or products to rectify this problem! It is getting scary at our house! With a houseful of adults, not children...you would think we would be more careful! The stove is located in a high traffic area & everyone bumps the stove getting plates, glasses, water bottles, ect! Yesterday was the most terrifying! Everyone went to the polebarn to see a surprise. We were out there for about a half hour...probably 15 minutes longer than we planned. My Grandson & I opened up our glass slider door & we were almost overwhelmed by the smell of gas! Someone had knocked against a knob & the kitchen had filled with gas! These knobs on my new stove are so touchy, they turn on extremely easy! This is SO DANGEROUS! There has to be a solution SOLD WITH THE STOVE FOR LIABILITY REASONS ALONE! Someone is going to blow their kitchen up & someone is going to be killed! I can't believe the Company doesn't have something that goes with the knobs! If they do Please, let me know! Sincerely kw
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Thanks for reaching out to us, Mrmrsthemocouple! Typically, the knobs have to be turned on for the gas to come on. However, we would like to gain a little more insight for safety measures and to ensure your knobs are working as designed. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The knobs are the locking kind to prevent the occurrence where the gas gets turned on/accidentally lights. They're pretty sturdy. I haven't taken them off to do a deep clean yet but so far I haven't had any issues (we've had the stove about 6 months now).
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, on our old range, yes, this one, no bumping accidents, you have to intentionally turn the burners on
