Q: QuestionThe "auto sizing" feature of our frigidaire induction range does not work. When testing several good quality pans, including cast iron, water boils in a small circle in the center of the pan. Heat is not distributed evenly. Defect?
Asked by GinIdaho.
- A:Answer We also have the same problem on our new Frigidaire Gallery induction oven. The range only cooks on the smallest pot setting.

Q: QuestionIs this oven "True Convection" (i.e. The fan has its own heating element.)?
Asked by Luke.
- A:Answer No. It is not true convection. In fact I just left a review about that very thing. Listed in Frigidaire's Features - they call it a "Hidden Burner" - it's an old school element hidden under a bottom plate which does not in any way prevent the cremation of a pizza on the bottom rack.

Q: QuestionWhat types of pans will work with this stovetop?
Asked by Interested.
- A:Answer Hello Interested. For induction cooking you will need pans that are magnetic on the bottom. A great test to know, if a magnet sticks to the bottom, it will work! ~ Anna

Q: QuestionRecently purchased this range and absolutely love it. Can I use a Lodge cast iron griddle, bridging the left front and rear elements, without damaging the cooktop? Thanks....
Asked by Boomer.
- A:Answer Hi, Boomer. Thank you for contacting us. We are happy to learn how much you are enjoying your induction range! With the Auto Sizing™ Pan Detection system for each burner on your cooktop will not allow you to “bridge” two burners for your griddle. The auto sizing feature automatically senses the size of your cookware to only send heat to the burner you are using. Feel free to reconnect with any additional questions about your induction range features. Our Customer Care Department can be reached by dialing 800-374-4432 and available Monday through Friday from 8:30 am-8pm EST. Regards-Derrick

Q: QuestionWhat's the smallest diameter pan/pot that can be used on the front right burner? Thanks!
Asked by rusty.
- A:Answer Hello, Rusty. I realize it has been awhile since you posted your question, but I am just now seeing it and decided to respond because it sounds like we are having the same problem with the front, right burner. If you're interested, I wrote a very specific (and long) negative review of this item here on Best Buy's site just minutes ago. Anyway, as you have probably noticed, all four burners have "auto sizing" written on them.... which SHOULD mean you are not limited to using one specific diameter of pan. Nonetheless, I have tried small, medium, large, and XL (induction) pots/pans on this particular burner, and none of them will heat beyond a steam. I had to make multiple warranty claims on mine because it would not boil water -- even on its highest setting of 'power boost'. After five technician visits during the first year of ownership (and multiple 'main board' part replacements), the malfunction continued. So I sent Frigidaire a video as proof that the problem is not being caused by 'user error'. I also made it obvious in the video that the problem is not due to the pots/pans I'm using because I moved them around, and they worked perfectly fine on the others. The water boils within seconds of placing pots/pans of water on the other three burners, yet even after 6 minutes, the front, right will not reach a boiling point. Frigidaire agreed with me that something was wrong with my unit. They eventually sent me a complete replacement, which was installed today. Unfortunately, though, the same thing is happening with the new one!!!! This tells me Frigidaire has a significant 'bug' to work out with this model.

Q: QuestionHow quickly do the burners respond when a pot is boiling over? I've only had gas stovetops and would want something that responds quickly, unlike electric burners where you have to remove the pot from the burner to get it to stop boiling over.
Asked by Leigh.
- A:Answer The initial power mode can bring a full pot of water for spaghetti for 4 to a boil faster than a coil poke gas range. It is frankly remarkable.

Asked by Wolves144.
