“My QUESTION is, of the 2 Frigidaire Smart Choice brackets, one is up to 80 pounds for up to 10k btu (this unit weighs 73 lbs but is 12k btu), the other one is for 160 pounds (states 12k-24k btu). Which should I buy? The BTU range is what's confusing me.”

I BROUGHT THE UP TO 24k AC BRACKET AND IT BARELY EVEN TOUCHES IT BUT ITS THERE FOR THE SUPPORT..

I ordered the 80lb bracket for the 12KBTU Model. Its heavy but I think it'll do. I didn't end up needing it. My window held it nice and tight. I ended up returning it. My hubby will probably buy a $2.00 2x4 at home depot and use that to hold it up since its in a back window and cant really see the unit anyway.

Due to unit being heavy I would say go with second option.

I bought the 12K and the 80lb bracket, I went off of the weight. Haven't got it yet, but I'm pretty sure it'll work.
