Because this is trying to pull moisture out of the air, and moisture will freeze when doing so, I would not recommend using this in an area with freezing temperatures. 60° F Most dehumidifiers should not be operated in temperatures below 60° F, since the moisture removed from the indoor air can freeze when it condenses on the cooling coils, which can damage the unit. The recommended operating temperatures for dehumidifiers is between 70 and 90 degrees.
