Yes, it will shut off when your set humidity level is reached. It takes a while for the unit to get the space to the level you set. If you don't think it's working correctly set the humidity level higher and check to see if the unit will shut off.

Yes it shuts off when the level is met, then cuts back on when the level rises above the set temperature.
