From my experience, the answer to your question is YES. Definitely have a life span problem with this machine.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I had one that stopped working after 6 months. Frigidaire replaced it. The replacement stopped working in 5 months. So I bought a Mr. Coffee for $30 which is is still working.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Ive had this coffee maker since the first of June and I make at a minimum 3 pots a day if not 6 most days. The unit is holding up great with the exception of the pause and serve really doesn't pause. It always seems to not seal and continues to run. This is something I intend on calling Frigidaire about but just haven't yet
