- Answer Hello, Mia. We appreciate your inquiry. The appliance has an automatic ice maker that provides a sufficient supply of ice for normal use. The unit will not produce ice during the first 24 hours of initial operation. However, the ice maker should produce about 4.5 lbs of ice per 24 hours, depending on the conditions of use. QuestionHow far does the door open? Will the door hit a side wall when you open the door fully if it’s 15inches away from it? If so how far away from a side wall must it be not to hit with door fully open?
